Have experimented with OPs build.
Found and interesting adjustment, I am using a shield 16arm with +7arm (against piercing damage) and also a +5arm grip on my axe, have been able to farm griffons and minotaurs with basically same build but with extra armour can drop a skill for someting else to help with bosses.

meep im sucking at this lol not one succesfull run

no matter what i do i die

its it the fact that im using a healing ankah that gives +10 energy and +4 armor when enchanted?
i cast healing hands all is fine
then i use vigourus and cyclone put up bonetis and healing breeze
and i keep using bonetis after every axe also i allways recast vig and healing breeze

but i allways die before healing hands is ready agin

what am i doing wrong
im using all the same skills as the topic starter cept no smiting and i use watch yourself instead :\
any tips

and i cast vicarious and mending before battle
i have 20 energy left after that to start the battle with

I've been using a slightly modified version of Kalgareth's build it I must say it's doing fine. I die sometimes vs. griffons, but I can take trolls with ease. Nice work! Sadly, everything's been nerfed so the best drop I got was a rare defender from a sand drake with horrible stats so... Any new suggestions on farming places?

im going crazy i cant get my hp up enough ugh and whenever i use bonetis to get a bit of protection it doesnt help because i cant use cyclone axe or healing breeze or anything with out it ending

I got a shiny gold war axe off the griffons tonight trying to rebuild my attr. points after a screwed up UW solo run, I was in such a hurry I just clicked and clicked on the axe next thing I see is "you have salvaged 5 wood planks". Needless to say I was kinda pissed.

Well use Gladiator's Defense and when u ar using it i can use healing breeze and cyclone axe same time.

This is for those who have not figure out his points placement.

Strength: 10+2 (61) = minor rune plus helm --- 12
Axe Mastery: 9+3 (48) = Superior axe --- 12
Tactics: 3+1 (6) = minor rune --- 4
Healing Prayers: 9 (48) --- 9
Smiting Prayers: 8 (37) --- 8

Total attribute points used: 200/200

also used in this build is a superior vigor and superior absorbion

This is just one of the possible points layout for this build though I put more points into smiting for more effective killing ...

I run from augury, aggro what looks to be 9 minotaur. After that I run into two spawns of 4 griffins. At this point, there are 17 in total after me. Directly after this is gladiators defense. While defense is going I'll cast zealots fire and then cyclone axe. Gladiators will run out and then it's time for bonettis. Cyclone, Bonetti, Cyclone, Bonetti until Gladiators Defense recharges. At which point you cast it, and recast Vigorous Spirit, cyclone once more and symbol of wrath... by this time they're all dead (or most of them are). If you do this run well enough you shouldn't need to recast zealots fire at all.

I'm not saying bringing healing breeze/hands is a bad idea, I'm saying it isn't a necessity. You don't need it to successfully do this run if you have good timing.

Yeah, I'm sure it's all luck as I've done this run near 100 times and died probably 3 times due to devourer intervention.

I'm using live vicariuously and mending then drawing about 9 and using cyclone axe,then bonettis,then vigorous spirit and repeating. My stats are healing 10,axe 12 and tactics 9, and I just can't seem to stay alive. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well in the beginig don't take all the minotaurs and griffons and all the time use somekind of stance what protect 75%. Only when you are using cyclone axe you don't have any protection but you gain a lot healt and adrinyle. So after that just quickly put Bonnetti's Defence on and wait that Cyclone Axe is recharged and do it again. And when your Vigorous Spirit runs end put Gladiator's Defence on and do Vigorous and maybe some other skills. While you have Gladiator you can use anything else but not Bonnetti.

Start off casting Balthazar's Spirt, Essence Bond, Watchful Spirit (2 pips health regen--needed while luring the griffons).

Then lure the 3 sets of minotaurs. Once I've got the minotaurs on me, I cast Armor of Frost to pump up my armor while I lure the griffons, since they hit me alot during the lure. Then go gather as many griffons as I can and try to shake the damn MF rockshots. Keep doing this until I either have them all rounded up and no rockshots nearby or until my health drops to about 150. At that point I stop and cast:

Mist Form
Balth. Aura
Spam Divine Boon
Cast Armor of Frost whenever it recharges
Spam Divine Boon and cast Balth. Aura whenever it is available.
Recast Mist Form whenever it is available.

Once some of the monsters die I start having E issues. You will then find me plinking away with my staff and casting Divine Boon whenever my E hits 5. During this period, I will often make sure I "remove" the active Divine Boon enchantment so I can get that pip of E regen. I can beat the monk boss usually but it is not really worth it as it comes down to 5 minute duel of attrition as I wear him down with my staff while waiting to charge up to 25 E to cast Balthazars Aura. Considering I can do the entire run in under 4 minutes, it is not worth my time to spend another 5 just to kill this one boss when usually he drops nothing special.

So...now that the patch is out, this build doesnt work. ):

Mistform doesnt take into account that you are getting hit now.. So basically you run into energy problems fast. :|

I dont understand what changed with mistform, you still take damage from things like aftershock. I believe that would be loosly classified as "elemental" damage.

Use Live Vicariously while you have bonetti's defense up. Use - Healing Hands - Zealots Fire - Vigorous Spirit - Cyclone Axe (if you have Gladiators) - Bonetti's Defense - Live Vicariously - Cyclone Axe - Bonetti's Defense - and whatever the 8th skill you have is if its healing breeze or w/e. Repeat Cyclone and Bonetti's, use Healing Hands if you ever need to cast 2 spells again at the same time, or just Bonetti's if you need to cast one spell and then use cyclone and bring bonetti's defense. Takes awhile to master if your new to this build.

Cast Mending right when you leave Augury.
